The Township of East Greenwich is a residential and farming community located in the western part of Gloucester County, New Jersey.

The Forming of East Greenwich

Created by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 10, 1881, East Greenwich was formed by merging a western portion of Mantua Township and an eastern portion of Greenwich Township.


A Growing Community

From 2000 to 2016 the overall population of East Greenwich rose by an astounding amount. The influx of residents our town received in the past decade or more, has allowed us to build our township around family, friendship, and love.

TAX BILLING UPDATE 2023 FINAL / 2024 PRELIMINARY TAX BILLING

As a result of a delay in receiving the 2023 Tax Rate Certification the Tax Bill mailing has been pushed to the end of July.  The Grace Period has been extended to Thursday, August 31, 2023.  If payment is received after this date, interest will accrue from August 1, 2023.
